Hello and welcome to the Transfer News Podcast. I'm Archer, and we're here on Wednesday, December thirty-first, bringing you all the latest transfer gossip and rumours from the Premier League as we head into the January window. Let's dive straight into what's been happening across the league.

Starting with what's arguably the biggest story right now, Antoine Semenyo is the man everyone wants. Bournemouth's impressive forward has caught the attention of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Manchester United, with reports suggesting this could be a decisive week in his potential departure. Manchester City are reportedly set for a meeting within the next twenty-four hours, while Bournemouth are bracing themselves for Liverpool to enter the race. With five clubs apparently chasing him, this one could turn into quite the bidding war.

Sticking with attacking options, Fulham have identified American striker Ricardo Pepi as a target, with the forward valued at forty million pounds. Marco Silva seems keen to add more firepower to his squad as they push for European qualification.

West Ham are certainly busy in the transfer market. Nuno Espirito Santo's side are eyeing Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen for a January move, and they've also set their sights on Norwich City's Josh Sargent. Additionally, the Hammers are watching Middlesbrough's Hayden Clayton, who's been in impressive form. It seems West Ham are determined to bolster their attacking options.

Crystal Palace are looking at Tottenham's Brennan Johnson according to recent reports. Oliver Glasner appears to be targeting reinforcements as Palace aim to climb the table in the second half of the season.

Now to Manchester United, where things are getting interesting. There's speculation that Kobbie Mainoo wants to leave Old Trafford, with reports suggesting he's in demand for a January loan move. However, United could block any potential move for the young midfielder. Separately, United are considering bringing James Garner back to the club, and they're also eyeing a loan deal for Conor Gallagher from Chelsea. The Red Devils are reportedly plotting a move for Semenyo as well, though they face stiff competition. There's also talk of a potential swap deal with Paris Saint-Germain involving Marcus Rashford.

Speaking of United's striker situation, Joshua Zirkzee's potential move to Roma has hit a deadlock. Ruben Amorim will be keen to resolve his forward options one way or another.

Chelsea and Leeds United are both monitoring Manchester City's James McAtee. The talented midfielder could be available this January, and both clubs see him as an attractive option to strengthen their squads.

Moving to the defence, Marc Guehi continues to attract major interest. Barcelona have apparently cooled their pursuit of the Crystal Palace defender, but Manchester City are targeting him for the summer transfer window. Bayern Munich are also planning talks with the England international, so Palace may have a fight on their hands to keep him beyond this season.

Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi is attracting interest from La Liga, with two Spanish clubs reportedly battling for his signature. Andoni Iraola will hope to keep his defensive options intact during this window.

At Newcastle United, Joelinton is being targeted by Saudi Pro League clubs. Eddie Howe will be keen to hold onto the Brazilian, who's been an important player for the Magpies.

A Premier League pair are eyeing Sporting's Ousmane Diomande, though specific clubs haven't been confirmed. The defender has been impressing in Portugal and could be on the move.

Finally, the Mohamed Salah situation continues to dominate headlines. The Saudi Pro League has made him their top priority, with Al Hilal reportedly preparing a bid for the Liverpool superstar. This is one story that could define the entire transfer window if it develops further.
