🔥 Ronaldo Exit Rumors & United's Tonali Chase - February 10th Transfer Update
Download MP3Hello and welcome to the Transfer News Podcast. I'm Archer, and it's Tuesday, February tenth, two thousand and twenty-six. We've got a packed show today with plenty of transfer speculation swirling around the Premier League, so let's dive straight in.
First up, Manchester United are keeping tabs on Sandro Tonali, with the Newcastle midfielder reportedly high on their shortlist. The Italian international has impressed since returning from suspension, and with Michael Carrick looking to strengthen his squad, this could be a massive move if United can convince Newcastle to part with him.
Now, this one's intriguing. Cristiano Ronaldo might be considering asking to leave Al-Nassr. The Portuguese legend has been in the Middle East for a few years now, but it seems the fire still burns for top-level competition. Could we see one last European hurrah? Time will tell.
Liverpool are set to rival Manchester United for Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton. The young midfielder has been outstanding for Palace under Oliver Glasner, and now both Merseyside and Manchester giants are circling. This could turn into quite the bidding war.
Marcus Rashford reportedly wants to stay at Barcelona beyond his loan spell. The England forward made the switch earlier this season, and it appears he's fallen in love with life in Catalonia. United fans will be watching this situation closely.
Inter Milan want to take Liverpool's Curtis Jones on loan for the remainder of the season. Arne Slot has a deep squad at Anfield, and Jones could benefit from regular Serie A football. It's a move that might suit all parties involved.
Brighton have rejected an approach for Lewis Dunk. The Seagulls captain remains fundamental to Fabian Hurzeler's plans, and the club have made it clear he's not for sale. Dunk continues to be one of the Premier League's most consistent defenders.
Nottingham Forest have made a thirty-five million pounds bid for Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta. Sean Dyche is looking to add firepower to his Forest attack, and Mateta's physical presence and goal-scoring record make him an attractive target.
Tottenham could pay just five million pounds for Liverpool's Andy Robertson. The Scottish left-back has lost his starting spot at Anfield, and Thomas Frank might see this as a shrewd piece of business. Robertson still has plenty to offer at the highest level.
Aston Villa are targeting Ruben Loftus-Cheek as Unai Emery looks to add depth to his midfield. The former Chelsea man has experience at the top level, and Villa's European ambitions could tempt him into a return to the Premier League.
Staying with Villa, they're also interested in that man Mateta from Crystal Palace. So it's not just Forest in the race for the French striker. Emery clearly wants to bolster his attacking options as Villa push for Champions League qualification.
Liverpool's Ibrahima Konate still hasn't settled his contract situation at Anfield. The French defender has been excellent when fit, and Liverpool will be keen to tie him down long-term. These negotiations are worth monitoring closely.
Here's an interesting one. Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is reportedly on Manchester United's radar. With Michael Carrick currently in interim charge, United are exploring their options. Glasner has done impressive work at Palace, and this could be a statement appointment if it happens.
Looking at the weekend's results, Manchester United picked up a crucial two-one victory away at West Ham, which will give Carrick and the fans some much-needed positivity. Liverpool continued their strong form with a two-nil win at Sunderland. Manchester City looked ominous, thrashing Fulham three-nil at the Etihad. Arsenal edged Brentford two-one in a tight encounter, while Tottenham beat Newcastle one-nil. Everton comfortably dispatched Bournemouth two-nil under David Moyes. Chelsea got past Leeds two-one, Crystal Palace beat Burnley two-one, and we had draws between Aston Villa and Brighton at one-all, and Nottingham Forest and Wolves at one-all.
