Hello and welcome to the Transfer News Podcast. I'm Archer, and it's Sunday, December twenty-eighth, two thousand and twenty-five. We've got plenty to get through today as the January transfer window approaches, so let's dive straight in.

Starting with Manchester United, and they're considering a move to bring back James Garner from Everton. The midfielder, who came through United's academy, could return to Old Trafford as Ruben Amorim looks to strengthen his squad. It's an interesting one, bringing back a player who knows the club well.

Sticking with United, they're reportedly eyeing a loan deal for Conor Gallagher. The Chelsea midfielder has fallen out of favor under Enzo Maresca, and a temporary switch to Old Trafford could suit all parties. Given United's midfield needs, this makes tactical sense.

Now here's a concerning story for United fans: Kobbie Mainoo reportedly wants to leave the club. However, Manchester United could block any potential move for the young midfielder. Despite this, Mainoo is apparently in demand for a January loan, with several clubs interested. Ruben Amorim has publicly stated that Mainoo is the future of Manchester United, so any exit seems unlikely.

United are also plotting a move for Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth in January. The Ghanaian forward has been impressive this season and could add much-needed attacking depth. Reports suggest five clubs are chasing Semenyo, but he apparently prefers a move to Liverpool if given the choice. Competition for his signature will be fierce.

There's also talk of Paris Saint-Germain considering a swap deal involving Marcus Rashford. No further details on who might be involved, but it's an intriguing prospect for both clubs.

On the loan front, Joshua Zirkzee's potential move to Roma has hit a deadlock. The striker's future remains uncertain as negotiations stall between the clubs.

Moving to Newcastle, and Joelinton is being targeted by Saudi Pro League clubs. The Brazilian has been a key player for Eddie Howe, so losing him would be a significant blow to their squad.

West Ham are busy in the market, eyeing Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen for January. They're also watching in-form Adam Clayton and have set their sights on Josh Sargent. Nuno Espirito Santo is clearly looking to bolster his attacking options.

Crystal Palace news now, and Barcelona have cooled their interest in Marc Guehi. However, Manchester City are planning to target the defender in the summer, and Bayern Munich are also planning talks with Guehi. The England international remains one of the most sought-after defenders around. Palace are also interested in Brennan Johnson from Tottenham, and they may consider bids for Jean-Philippe Mateta if the right offer comes in.

Speaking of Palace, Fulham and Crystal Palace are both eyeing a Manchester City playmaker, according to reports. Both clubs are looking to add creativity to their squads.

Bournemouth's Marcos Senesi is attracting attention from La Liga, with two Spanish clubs battling for his signature. The Argentine defender has been solid this season.

There's also been talk of a Premier League pair eyeing Ousmane Diomande, though specific clubs weren't mentioned in the reports.

Now to Liverpool and Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian superstar is reportedly the top priority for the Saudi Pro League, with Al Hilal preparing a bid. Salah could still go to Saudi Arabia, though he recently scored again for Egypt against South Africa. Any move would be absolutely massive for both Liverpool and world football.

Finally, Yoane Wissa has made headlines saying he has more to give Newcastle and that joining them is his destiny. Strong words from the Brentford forward.

Pep Guardiola also commented recently that everything can happen in the transfer window, keeping City fans guessing about potential moves.
